It's rational for a choir teacher to pull out the Christmas carols at about this time of the year. It gives the chorus about two months to practice and perfect each song.
What verges irrational is that I too have dusted of my Christmas music and begun to play those cheery tunes.
Have I begun to plan my Halloween costume? no.
Have I looked up recipes for thanksgiving? heavens no.
But I have indeed sang along to "Jingle Bell Rock" and the glo-o-o-o-oria (inexcelisies deo) song. I think it's suffice to say that I'm a tad bit excited. -Maybe even reasonable to say that my excitement is as full as our fridge on the 26th of December.-
Please, don't think for a moment that I'm not enjoying each red-orange leaf that I pass on my way to school or the pumpkin pie that kneaders is famous for. I love fall. But I long for Jack frost to nip at my noes and to dress up like eskimos. (Reference to the christmas song I'm listening to right now:)
Hot cocoa awaits. Let the countdown begin.
(Only 68 more sleeps until the jolly man affectionately called kris will bring me goodies)
