reunited.

I drove up to Rexburg this week to visit my beloved sister at college.

(I would like to point out how independent I am, 4 hour car ride all by myself! As PBS-kids would say: I'm a big kid now.)

Kaylee has been trying to entice me by all BYU-I has to offer. She’s been trying to persuade me to come up to this windy wonderland since she enrolled as a student here. She showed me the garden (beautiful), the humanities building, the library, tennis courts and-my personal favorite-the perfect piece of tar on the road that’s squishy and fabulous.

BYU-I is a terrific school, but it is in Idaho, and for that I like teasing Kaylee about living in such a state. (Though it’s all in good fun, I adore Idaho-I was born here).

I made the mistake however, of making one of my light-hearted comments right in front of her Idaho-an roommate.

I learned a couple things from my mistake: 1) Idaho is no longer the biggest potato-farming state in the country. It has been replaced by Iowa. My bad. And 2) Not every resident of Idaho likes potatoes. (Who would've thought.)

So moral of the story: you learn something new every day & Iowa is weirder than I originally thought.
